My Trip to Singapore: Lists of People That I'm Thankful For

This posts is dedicated to everyone that helped me during my stay at Singapore. I learnt a lot from them :)

  1. Family—Duh, without my parents I wouldn't be here-living, breathing, learning,... blogging. My trip and medical fee (and my whole life up until now) are all fully sponsored by them. God knows how much sacrifices they made for me, and I can never thank them enough. They are the biggest reasons for me to live on, as well as my beloved elder-brother and younger-brother.
  2. Aunties—My 姨婆 and her daughter. Without them, I wouldn't have the chance to step into Singapore—accomodation is expensive sia—I live in their house. Thank you so much to 姨婆 for the pocket moneys, food, advices, patience and accommodating me for three weeks or as long as I want :p. Thank you so much to Aunt (and your boyfriend) for the food, advices, care, sharing and hardworking attitude.
  3. Auntie, Uncle, and their daughter—Thank you so much for taking out time despite your super busy schedule to call, buy food and drive me. I would never be able to experience the feeling of riding a private car in this country and no need to rush to and fro ferry terminal.
  4. Auntie, Uncle—Thank you for the care, advices and the got-money-doesn't-guarantee-you-got-to-eat superb durian. The taste is really worth the price.
  5. Auntie, Uncle—Thank you for the pocket money, jokes, advices and for showing that old couple can also still be a lovey dovey (non-sickening one) and cute pairs. Hopefully one day I can be like them also, haha... Stay as loving as ever! :D
  6. Carolyn Vivianty—The girl cousin. My trip wouldn't be this wonderful without you, baby. She sacrificed a lot of time, energy, money, patience, blood, sweat, and tears in order to accompany me. Because of her, I met a lot of wonderful people, tried a lot of things, and many more! This girl (or kiddo, haha!) is sweet, kind, diligent, hard-working, smart and many more. It's good to see your fighting spirit, girl. Haha... I know it's hard, but always do the best for your studies there. <3 Thank you for the birthday gift. Feel free to talk to me in anything. My ears are available for you~ For you, for you, girl~ ♪(´ε` ) ROTFL I can imagine your expression, Carol~ :p
  7. Sutrisno—Known as Ah Boy, the boy *obviously* cousin. Without him, heck, I wouldn't be able to complete my medical treatment. He is sweet, kind, generous, smart, thoughtful, and above all the perfect gentleman-come on girls, he is single currently (promoting *wink wink*). Thank you so much for the listening ear and advices, as well as for sponsoring a lot of good foods and tourists attractions, and the expensive birthday gift. I only casually asked information about it out of curiosity—without harbouring any greedy thought at all—and he immediately bought them for me. He is a thrifty person, but is generous for his siblings. You must have burnts a big hole on your wallet for me—thank you and I'm sorry! You inspired me a lot! :D
  8. Elvin—"The Yan Dao Husband" or so the taxi-driver addressed him. Even though we just knew each other, it's the first time that I can joke and talk like an old friend. Such a friendly creature is he. This person is funny and cheerful outside but complex and sensitive inside (Are you reading this?). Keep that smile of yours and don't bottled up your feeling. Anyway, good luck with your life! Teehee!
  9. Vincent—Ah, this boy. Overflows with cuteness and innocence. Greeted me with his sincere smile and yeah, we can talk like an old friend even though we just knew each other. I hate to admit this, but he once read my thought—man, that was such a rare moment in my life. Also, thank you so much for the gentleman-ness *+800 points reward for you*.
  10. Dr. Lee—Thank you so much for the understanding, patience, advices, discount and the genius works. I want to be someone like you: a genius who is passionate with his works and can be proud of the results, without being money-minded. Haha... See you next year!—if I earn enough money.
  11. Dr. Lim—Thank you so much for the advices, patience, discount and understanding. It was more than just consultation, she even offered to call my Mother—without me asking—to notify and explain to her about the vaccination.
  12. Nurses—for remembering my name and the friendly smile and service (unlike a nurse that thought I didn't understand English and spoke ill -,-)
  13. Lady seller at K-Street Bugis Street—Thank you so much for the freebie and generousity XD
  14. Guy shop assistant at ZINC Bags Bugis Street—Thank you so much For the freebie and warm service :D
  15. Granny, Grampy, New Mom, Securities, Office Workers and other random strangers—Thank you so much for pointing the directions and the pop-conversation.
  16. More friends and people that I didn't mentioned. Hey, just because I didn't type it here doesn't mean you are all not important, okay? Thank you so much and I'm sorry!

My Trip to Singapore: Bloomington Greeting

I found this little shop while window-shopping at Anchorpoint with my friends. From outside, this shop gave us the feeling of arty & crafty (that sounds so wrong), with a pinch of vintage and classic aura.
All of us went inside and explored all the stuffs it had. Things there are all suitable for those who are looking for a powerful creativity charger as well as those to feed their hungry soul.
Goods there are all interesting, chocked full of creativity, humours, inspirations and motivations. There's something for everyone. If I were very rich then I'd had bought every thing there. Hahaha...
A wooden-characters motivational miniature caught my eyes (and my heart, my mind, my soul :p). I stood there holding and staring it for a very long time, comtemplating to buy it or not. I chose to let it go, since I was broke from the dental treatment.
I walked out of the shop with all of my friends, until a notice on the glass door caught my eye: I forgot the exact  sentence, it was something about ending the shop operation on August 2013.
Without any hesitation (and second thought), I dashed back inside and bought the wooden piece. Because, I'd regret later if I didn't buy it. Besides, it serves as a powerful motivation and beautiful decoration at my dorm later, as well as supporting the business. This is my purchase:

Beautiful isn't it? I bought for only SGD 9.90. No fear, even though they ceased the bricks-and-mortars operation, the online shop is still running and avaible.
Go and click the link! You will love it! Don't forget to buy something there! :D

You Are a Reluctant Shopper
You really don't enjoy shopping. For you, it's just another chore.
You approach shopping systematically. You research what you're going to buy and come prepared with a list.

Of all the types, you are the most likely to not buy things you don't need.
You try to de-emphasize stuff in your life. You find shopping and buying things to be a rather empty experience.

My Trip to Singapore: Kim Gary Hongkong Cafe

My Aunt treated me to this restaurant chain at ION Orchard right after visiting dentist. It was pretty new I think, since I didn't see this 367 days ago. The owner was an actor, she told me.
I ordered set A which consisted of Stone Grilled Pork Chop Rice and Cream Soup. For the drink, I ordered warm almond tea.
As it was lunch time then, the restaurant was flooded with people. The waiters and waitresses rushed everywhere for the service. They were shorthanded for this amount of customers. Nevertheless, they were fast thought. Also, since it was crowded and people were willing to queue, I supposed it must be delicious right?
Not long later, my food arrived. Well, it was the cream soup first. Shouldn't it be the almond tea first? Haha... I carefully scoop the soup and insert it into my mouth, as I thought it might be scalding hot. Turned out, it was nothing near hot at all, in fact it was almost like room temperature. Never mind, as the taste is not disappointing. It is creamy yet light, so it might be okay for some that can't tolerate food that are too rich.]
Then, my almond tea came. The smell invited me to try it no later. It taste sweet. Very sweet indeed. Too sweet for my liking.
Last, was my grilled rice. Yum yum yum~ The sizzling rice sounds and the smell was comforting(?). Hahaha... It was extra and very hot, which is how it should be *mix mix mix*. I had difficulty eating it, due to the extreme heat. It would took me forever to finish it, so my Aunt asked for a bowl for me to eat with.
The taste was not bad or very great. The pork chop was dry and very tough. I had hard time chewing and swallowing it.
The rice continued sizzling till I finished them all. There is also a condiment for you to mix in, though it taste better without. Ingredients are fresh. I don't know how to describe the taste. It taste Hong Kong LOL. Sweet, salty and slightly spicy (not spicy for me though) all blended well. The tastiest part is the burnt rice. Crispy and fragrant~ *crunch crunch nom nom*
Never mind, there was nothing to complain though. Good food, good environtment, good service and free food :p. What's more to ask? Hohoho~ Thank you so much for the (hearty and expensive) meal, Aunt~ :D
Oh, and the last thing. I don't know if it was just me or that Hong Kong restaurants are sprouting everywhere in Singapore.
In case you are wondering there's no picture, it was because my phone's battery was flat at the time.

My Trip to Singapore: Why I Love It Here

This is home~ Truly~
Hahaha... Singapore, where it is the closest foreign country near my hometown—too close, in fact. Travelling back and forth frequently is not something unusual here—not me, I can't afford it. This little gem, a city-state that resides in SEA where arguably is the most powerful country there. A multi-cultural state where both east and west meet. Just what is the special things it offered, to be adored so much by many people?—notably, Indonesian :p
Here are some of my OPINIONS of why I love it here:
1. Public transportation at the comfort of your door. The bus and MRT systems all very well integrated, thus travelling is made convenient and not to mention it is comfortable.
2. Pedestrian-friendly. The part that I really love here is the fact that you practically can walk or bike to anywhere you want without having to worry about being knocked by cars or competing walking space with them. The pavements are wide and most of it comes with lots of trees and shades.
3. Green. Trees, grasses, flowers and shrubs are everywhere. This city is filled with green colour, unlike most major cities that comes with the grey colour. Singapore is not dubbed as 'Garden City' for nothing.
4. Pollution free. You don't need to compromise your health in order to live in a city.
5. Clean. Who doesn't love clean space? Anyone? No unsightly trash or spits that ruined the scenery, or be ready to pay.
6. Safe. With its low-crime rate, it is unusual for women to walk alone at the night, or leaving your things or shop with being stolen-I gotta admit that, now, more crime happens as more people resides this island.
7. Almost no need for umbrella. Need me to explain?
8. FOOD!!! Last but not least, your stomach will be spoiled with wide choice of local delicacy here. Instead of going to the famous restaurant chain, you actually will find the best tasting food at independently run restaurant, coffee shop and ultimately the modest stall at hawker centres.
Of course, there's perfect country on this world. Like every country there, this state also has its own trials. Those are the reasons why I love Singapore—if only no. 1-7 are also applied to my country. What's yours?

You Are Plucky and Brave
You enjoy variety and new challenges. You're always looking to shake things up a bit.

Happy 68th Birthday to Indonesia

You have stand up by yourself for more than a jubilee year. You silently witness every moments of grief, tears, and blood for centuries. Corruption, poverty, injustice, and many other absurdity still resides in this land. The path to the bright future may seems dim and long, but, rest assured that, we all will be here with you, fighting for it.
Everybody around the world see the strong growth of this country, which means more prosperity here. Yet, did anyone see that despite of these, the inflation is sky-high?
We used to be proud of our natural resources both from land and sea, but do you know that almost none of them belong to us now?
Don't you feel hypocrite that you throw rubbish everywhere yet you put all the blame on government when the flood arrives, dear people?
Water and electricity shortage is the norm, as well as the lack of well-planned urban planning, infrastructure and facilities is a big problem now and then.
How long do you want to sit on your ass and corrupt every little penny, oh the 'almighty' official up there?
Our environment is degrading to the critical point which will going to cause more problems ahead, everyone~
Beneath this beautiful country, there's still so much sorrow in it. Do you notice that?
Despite all the bad things, there are far too many good things also. <3
Happy 68th Birthday Indonesia! Even though it's still a third-world country with all kind of problems with both of its governments and people, I still love you! Every countries also went through this stage before emerging to the top, so let's do our best! Learn the good from other countries, and implements it here! Together, we can built this nation for the better! I still want to believe the great future ahead! I love Indonesia and proud to be one!

You Are Independence
A lofty answer for a 4th of July quiz, but you're a lofty type of person. You are quite idealistic.
You have many things that you believe in, and independence is at the top of your list. You love being self-reliant.

You need to have the freedom to do whatever you want in your life. You make your own decisions.
Sometimes you happily follow the crowd, and sometimes you stand your ground. The most important thing is that it's up to you to choose.

So this 4th of July, you may eagerly engage in all the festivities. Or you may sit it all out. Whatever you feel like.
No matter what you choose, you'll be smiling a little at the thought of others boisterously celebrating freedom.

My Trip to Singapore: Toast Box

One of the most popular and classic choice of breakfast. Slices of bread toasted to the perfect texture and crust, be it eaten alone or with spread and accompanied with beverages of your choice. Just thinking it makes you drool, doesn't it? Of course, who doesn't love toast? It's the lover of everyone's stomach! Me either!
My personal favourite spread is kaya, a coconut jam spread originated from Malay culture. It is made from sugar, egg, coconut milk and optional pandan leaves. The secret of a good kaya is having no wheat flour and colouring or other nasty chemicals as the ingredients. Home-made fresh kaya taste the best.
Last year, an Aunt brought me to this famous chain coffee shop before sending my home at Harbour Front Ferry Terminal. I ordered their signature traditional kaya toast.
Once bitten, the freshly toasted warm bread with perfect texture blended flawlessly with the kaya and cold butter between, seductively melt in my mouth. Love at first taste.
"It tasted like heaven!" Auntie ordered more for me to eat at the ferry right away after I complimented the taste. Thank you so much, Auntie!
This kaya toast is what that makes me looking forward to come back to Singapore when at Jakarta. Finally, I get to taste it again this year. Unfortunately, it's not what I expected.
I had it at around 2-3 different chain of Toast Box, and none of them taste as good.
I told few people I knew about it, and their reply was "No kaya toast in coffee shop chain taste good anymore." Oh well, since it is franchise, no wonder if their quality suffered as well. But, probably the one located at Harbour Front Ferry Terminal is still as good, tight? As it's far, I didn't go there.
I only hope that Toast Box will pay more attention to their quality despite the fast growth. It's part of BreadTalk family, so I believe that they will do something about it. Best wishes to you! :)

My Trip to Singapore: Mt Elizabeth Hospital

This year, my trip to Singapore is filled with many medical 'destinations'. My Aunt was hospitalized, so I came to visit her.
What I can say is... I'm not sure whether this is hospital or hotel. It's so luxury. O_O
When my Aunt decided to sleep, she asked me to go around this hospital or shopping malls nearby. So, I decided to tour around the hospital.
When I first came here before, I went to the wrong tower. I didn't know that wards are on different tower. I simply hopped into the lift. And I arrived at a deserted floor full of doctors clinics. It was a medical centre tower. As it was Sunday then, there was not a single soul around. I walked around that floor though, to look at the doctors board near the entrance if each of their office. Is it just me, or most doctors in Singapore are graduates from London?
Then I explored only few parts of the hospital at the wards tower as I felt fatigue. At the lobby, there was a service room for international patients. Most of the patients here are foreigner. One the majority is Indonesian. Singapore is a hotspot medical destination for Indonesian. Thus, Indonesian is well-known to be rich there. Nope, I am not one of the wealthy Indonesian.
Last thing I did was sitting on the sofa at the lobby. Behind me was a grand piano covered in red velvet cloth. Really, this place is a hotel, not hospital.
I went back to my Aunt's ward since it was dinner time, where she should be awaken already. The meal-service lady speaks Bahasa fluently, as well as some nurses and doctors. Many of the patients here are Indonesian, that's why.
I looked my Aunt's (and get to taste) dinner and the menu list for tomorrow. I never thought that hospital's food can be such a finely crafted gourmet without all the unhealthy stuffs. Where health and taste meet, this is how food is supposed to be.
From the interior design to the facilities and amenities, this hospital rivals many hotels. Seriously-and not to mention it also comes with $$$.

My Trip to Singapore: Vaccination

It all began with a sentence from my cousin, "Tian, do you want get cervical cancer vaccination? Because after we reach some certain age, we can't receive it. Aunt recommended us to this clinic"
I was reluctant at first, because of the $$$. But in the end, I still went for it after receiving the consent from my mother.
When it comes to health, do not save. Investing in health ensures more $$$ saved in the long-term. In my opinion.
After finishing appointment with dentist, I went around to look for the location of this clinic. It is located somewhere near Orchard also. Thanks to Google Map and some pointers from people around, I managed to find it. For people who are not used to walking, it's pretty far.
The mall was not as what I expected. Hahaha... It is older, but is maintained properly.
I went to the designated floor after asking the customer service officer. I arrived in a pretty deserted floor. There was not many people around. From what I saw, this floor is only filled with specialized clinics for various medical disease and s few tuition centres for children.
* * * * *
The next day, I came here for consultation and vaccination with my cousin after booking for an appointment. Our doctor is Dr. Lim. We chose her because she was the only female doctor there and to make thing less awkward xD.
Before the consulation with Dr. Lim, I was guided by a nurse to fill in a form and recording other informations of my health.
So, I opened the door to the Dr. Lim's consultation room. I was impressed with the sight that greeted me. A lady with fair and clear smooth skin equipped with friendly yet professional smile in her sleek style. Dr. Lim is soooooooo beautiful. Far fron what I thought :p Seriously.
Then, Dr. Lim explained the type of vaccines as well as the type of diseases it fights and many other informations regarding to health.
After choosing the type of vaccine, Dr. Lim offered to call my Mother to explain about the vaccinations. Wow... What a thoughtful service. <3

My Hometown: 'My Summer Paradise' Tanjung Pinang

That moment when the airplane landed at this city deeply etched in my memory. It was freezing cold inside, until the door opened. Swoosh! The heat wave literally killed the temperature. Thus, I rushed to get off from the plane as soon as possible lest I died inside. The balmy wind and scorching hot sun with clear blue sky greeted my skin. Closing my eyes, I deeply took my breath and savored the clean air with the taste of tropical sea. "Welcome back to the summer paradise," I whispered to myself while suppressing my grin. *say la-da-da-da-da~*
Hi, I  am taking a long summer break from university. Therefore, I'm back to my hometown. A little and oh-not-so-well-known city in this tropical land.
Daily smiles from the sun and long stretch of white sand beach is all here with wide choice of local delicacy to choose from! Be ready to be spoiled! Let's start with the basic geographical details.

Capital: Tanjung Pinang (丹戎檳榔)
Island: Bintan
Province: Kepulauan Riau (Riau Archipelago)
Country: Indonesia
Population: ±200.000

Here is the quick little and random facts of this city:
  1. The Chinese here speaks in dialect, mostly in Teochew, Hokkien, Hakka along with Mandarin.
  2. Singapore is only 40km away with speedboats.
  3. Unspoiled natural white sand beaches and range world-class resorts are 40km away with cars.
  4. Cheap!! (unless in IDR) and hot weather
  5. Surrounded by sea
  6. The downtown area resembles Singapore in 70's era.
  7. There's no cinema here.
  8. Cheap!! (unless in IDR) and hot weather
  9. You can literally shut tourists mouth with foodsso tasty that they can't complain—it's the onl thing we can be proud of.
  10. People here are religious.
  11. Most Chinese here are fluent in both Mandarin and/or English.
  12. Cheap!! (unless in IDR) and hot weather
  13. Multicultural is a part of us.
  14. Chinese is everywhere, therefore this city can be considered as ChinatownI made this up
  15. It's so hot here. Like very and extra hot.
  16. Our 'shopping mall' can't really be considered as one.
  17. Cheap!! (unless in IDR) and hot weather
  18. Free from pollution.
  19. We know more about Singapore than Jakartafor Chinese.
  20. Foods here are what we can be proud of.
  21. Cheap!! (unless in IDR) and hot weather
  22. It's not a really tourist area.
  23. It's an excellent choice to retire here.
  24. Life here is peaceful and slow-pace.
  25. Again, it's cheap! You will not break your bank here.
  26. You have to come here to experience it yourself. There's more story of this city.
  27. I can be your tour guide for free here—only if when I am here and available.
  28. It's the most popular destination after Bali for the beaches and resorts in Indonesia—the resorts area, not the cityTruthfully, I was surprised when I learnt about it.
Really, I am not good at promoting. I was thinking of writing a killer article of this city, but turns out... Haha... I just want people to know more about this secluded little tropical gem. Most tourists don't really fancy the city, except the resorts away there. Really, you have to experience it yourself. Come and live like a local to acquire your love for it. If you happened to be at one of the resort at Bintan, come here! You just need the right guide to savour the taste and find precious things here!

It's late already. Time for zzzzz.... See you!

Your Weather Personality is Balmy
Above all else, you like weather that is not cold. You always rather be 'too hot' - if there even is such a thing.
You don't mind a little humidity with your heat. It's good for the skin. You really dig the feel of the warmest summer day.

You have a laid back personality, and you're never in a rush to get much done. You're content to hang out in your swimsuit all day.
You like the concept of 'island time' - even if you don't live on an island. You think adhering to schedules is oppressive.

You don't like a lot of hardship in your life. Warm weather means no shoveling snow or putting on gloves and a scarf.
When the weather is warm every day, you feel like you're on a permanent vacation. And that's a pretty fab way to live!

My Trip to Singapore: Visiting Dentist - Part 2

As I've mentioned before, it took me three appointments to finish all the treatments. Here are some problems:
First, there are two teeth that needs to be treated right away. There was cavity under the filling, due to the previous dentist didn't clean it throughly enough before filling the teeth. It shown on the xray as well as my teeth, where it visibly looked black under the filling.
Second, one of the front teeth, looked "dirty" and couldn't be flossed through. Still the same problem, it hadn't been cleaned properly before being filled. The filling was not done properly, thus it couldn't be flossed through.
Both of the teeth had gone through canal treatment. But, the x-ray shown that the previous dentist didn't clean and filled it properly, therefore I was in high risk of infection.
Damn it, I will never ever go back to my dentist at Indonesia. Thanks to the horrible works, I've to burned a biiiiiiiggg hole on wallet to get them fixed. Argh! But... at the same time, I can't afford to keep going to Singapore dentist. It's sooooo expensive. First-class treatment and service comes with first-class price. Aaaaaa......... Let's continue
Third, a new cavity formed in between teeth. Even though I flossed it regularly and making sure it was cleaned throughly everytime. Oh well... (Y^Y)
Forth, replacing a really old filling.
Fifth, the initial treatment, scaling and polishing.
So, Dr. Lee fixed everything flawlessly. I didn't hurt at all during filling. I though that pain was normal, until I went to there. No pain, miraculously. I can floss through my teeth now.
Eve after scaling and polishing, there was no pain. I can even went out to eat not long later without any pain or sensitivity inflicted. Hohoho~
The best part of the service was... mirror! Haha! I was given a mirror to see for myself the progresss of the treatment, as well as Dr. Lee explanation. In my opinion, only dentists with high-credibility will do that *clap*
Oh man, how much I love how my teeth look like after finishing the treatment. I got complimented a lot.
Dr. Lee indeed is a genius. Thanks God that I met him (TvT)9
As for the cost part... ugh... *jump off the floor*
*revived* When I go back to Jakarta later, I must find a part-time job. Must save up for the next appointment next year. My parents couldn't afford it anymore, so, I will earn the money myself. I refuse to go anywhere than that after the horrible experience from my country's dentists *goodbye, never wanna see you again~*
Hopefully I can earn enough though. (Y^Y) as for the orthodotic treatment... I don't think I'll ever earn enough...
Breaking news:
I told my friends about my experience. Most of their friends  went to Singapore or other country to recieve dental treatment. Guess what? All of their dentists are annoyed with the works of Indonesia dentists, which are not good at all and problematic. That explains the denstistry standard in my country. Bad works and money-minded dentists with expensive fee is a common sight here. Of course, not all Indonesia dentists are like that. The are a few geniuses and kind-hearted one with passion for their jobs and patients dental health.
I love my country, Indonesia. I hope that, as years goes by, the dental and medical industry will be better and better towards the first-class standard. :)

My Trip to Singapore: Visiting Dentist - Part 1

<Typed on 13th July 2013>
I am in Singapore now, for holiday. I came here yesterday (12th July 2013), right after back to Tanjungpinang at 10th July. Hahaha...
It's been a year for exact, since I came here. Ironically,  I left Singapore last year also on 12th July.
Today I had an sudden appointment with a dentist here. My Mother commented something about my teeth yesterday, and asked me to go together with my Aunt since she's going to dentist also today.
The clinic is located somewhere at Orchard (I wonder if I should tell the exact location or not). When I first stepped into the clinic, I feel very 'suaku' (like a country-bumpkin).
I was greeted with an aquarium near the entrance. The interior is aesthetically pleasing, with the modern and minimalist design. Since it was in the highest floor, the view from the window is green (typical Singapore) and scenic! There is a kiddy room and a refreshment room (free drinks, anyone?). I don't know how to describe those in words, but one thing for sure is it gives off the modern, sleek, high-class yet homey ambiance at the same time.
I sat comfortably on the sofa until suddenly the automatic curtain moved to reduce the sun glare. I know there's nothing new here, but it's my first time experiencing this, okay! I've never thought that a clinic can be this high-class (and hi-tech). Too bad, I didn't take any picture, even though it took me three appointments to finish the treatment.
Since it was my first time there, one of the receptionist lady came to me and gave me a form to fill in. Three pages long (._.) It's important to record the patients profile and medical history, something where I don't encounter back in my hometown, where you just go there, put your name and go for the treatment. Talk about professionalism.
My dentist is Dr. Lee. He is a very professional and fatherly dentist. It was my Aunt turn, before me. I went into the room with her, and she introduced me to Dr. Lee. I had a short talk before I was taken to the other room by a nurse for X-ray.
X-ray? I thought that was only for orthodontic treatment? I was explained by the nurse that this is compulsory in order to extract information about my teeth. There are two types, one small one and one bigger one. And with a concerning look, she told me the price of each x-ray. "Crap! That was so expensive!! Argh!!!" I yelled in my heart. I nodded hopelessly. But it's okay, for the sake of my teeth. After the X-ray and scaling & polishing, I will be free. Or so I thought.
"Your teeth is so crooked, you need to use braces," the nurse told me truthfully.
"I've been planning to do it, but I'm not sure where to go," I honestly answered. I've read too many unfortunate cases about these in my country and not to mention the $$$.
The nurse thought something was wrong with the X-ray, when it shown my teeth. Turns out, it was my teeth that is too overcrowded, therefore it looked weird. Wow... the power xray. I give a serious thought about orthodontic treatment after seeing the X-ray.
The x-ray taking process was fun lol. Yiruma's music was played to soothe (my) mind. So, not long after, it was my turn. I was brought to another treatment room. Just how many rooms here I wonder.
Dr. Lee explained everything about my current teeth, jaw etc health and my past treatment. I was surprised to learn about the condition about my teeth. Ouch...
